Mike Haefner

Mike is MIG’s Vice President of Facilities, having previously served as Physical Plant Manager and Maintenance Supervisor at MIG’s property on East Washington Avenue. Mike began his career at MIG in 2007 as a Maintenance Technician. In his current role, he oversees all aspects of day-to-day maintenance for all MIG properties in Madison and Middleton. Maintenance supervisors and technicians report to Mike on building conditions, maintenance work, upkeep, and improvements.

With extensive experience in managing large commercial building operations, Mike possesses a profound understanding of HVAC systems that control the daily temperatures and conditions within all our facilities. An admitted gearhead, Mike excels at taking apart engines, fine-tuning motors, and diagnosing complex mechanical issues.

A Madison native, Mike is also a master drummer who has played in various well-known bands, including Muzzy Luctin and Magic Seven. His musical career has taken him around the world, allowing him to meet and perform with some of the biggest names in music. While he continues to play regularly, Mike also enjoys spending time with his family, coaching football, and watching extreme sports. He has a particular passion for racing, especially Formula 1.
